“Spooky Distance” in MetaStellar

What if you could harness the possibilities of quantum entanglement to change people’s minds? What would you do with that power?

I wrote this story, SPOOKY DISTANCE, in 2021, after reading a sciencey article in The New Yorker, and it just landed at MetaStellar: Speculative Fiction and Beyond. It’s one of my favorite pieces from recent years, because it’s both goofy and heartfelt, with a juicy strand of techno-paranoia. And a lot of it revolves around the angst of an aspiring writer trying to land a literary agent, which is still a very relevant topic for me. If only this story weren’t fiction!
